Chandler/Gilbert
Kelly Brown, DO
Physician

Dr. Brown graduated from the University of New England and is board certified in Family Medicine. She served in the Navy for nine years and treated patients at multiple military bases during her service.

Dr. Brown loves encouraging her patients to get excited about their health and partnering with them on their health journey. She has extensive experience in Dermatology and is passionate about skin cancer prevention and early detection, as well as nutrition education, chronic disease management, and women’s health.

Fun Facts: Dr. Brown loves spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys exercising, interior design, and baking – especially cinnamon rolls.

Irene Bird, DNP, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner

Irene graduated from the University of Arizona with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, certified in Family Medicine. Compassion, care, and joy are what motivates Irene as she comes to work each day. She considers it a privilege to be able to care for others and enjoys working with her patients to achieve their health goals.

Irene has worked in various specialties including urgent care, internal medicine, family medicine, integrated medicine, and occupational health.

Fun Facts: Irene is originally from the island of Guam and has made Arizona her home. She loves Jeeps, traveling, and growing plants in her garden. Irene also loves spending time with her husband, family, and her furbaby Molly.

Heidi Dillenbeck, DNP, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner

Heidi graduated from Northern Arizona University with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, certified in Family Medicine. Before joining Prosano, Heidi focused on providing primary care in a community health clinic. She spent the early part of her career in emergency medicine as a flight nurse.

Being a nurse practitioner is more than a job for Heidi – caring for people is her passion. She focuses on treating the entire person, rather than a set of symptoms. Heidi is devoted to quality care for all her patients, especially those in the LGBTQ+ community and patients dealing with health disparities.

Fun Facts: Heidi is originally from Michigan and loves Wolverines football. She enjoys spending time with her two boys and taking long walks with her dog.

Yan Li, DNP, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner

Yan graduated from the University of Arizona with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, certified in Family Medicine. Yan is passionate about her patients and takes the time to determine what guides their health decisions.

Yan is a big proponent of disease prevention and the promotion of overall physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Yan feels it’s of the utmost importance to make cultural considerations and understand the importance of diversity when it comes to seeing patients.

Fun Fact: When she’s not working, Yan can be found tending to her garden, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two young children.

Marie Avila, LMSW
Behavioral Health Manager

Marie graduated from Arizona State University earning a degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and a master’s in social work. Marie has spent time working with adults and children in both case and program management.

Marie believes it is extremely important for patients to have a choice when finding a provider, so they can tend to their specific needs. She is equally passionate about patient equity and affordability in a healthcare setting, which is just one reason she chose Prosano.

In her spare time, Marie enjoys reading, watching movies, spending time with her family, and being outdoors whenever the weather is not insanely hot.

Fun Fact: Marie’s dog, a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix, is an Emotional Support Animal who goes nearly everywhere with her.

Damien Arafiles, MD
Physician

Dr. Arafiles graduated from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and is board certified in Family Medicine. He also owned and operated an Urgent Care Center for a decade.

He takes a holistic approach in his practice and is passionate about providing personalized patient care.

Fun Facts: Dr. Arafiles loves working on Jeeps, camping, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and two German Shepherds. He also has a B.A. in Zoology.

Wylie Carhartt, MD
Physician

Dr. Carhartt graduated from the East Carolina University and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. He also has a Master of Business Administration and is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Child Health and Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.

Dr. Carhartt is passionate about prevention and helping people live healthier lives. As the Executive Medical Director for Prosano, he leads the entire care team as they deliver affordable, customized, and personalized care to all of our Prosano members.

Fun Facts: Dr. Carhartt enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, especially around Halloween, when he and his family go all out with coordinated costumes.

Jennifer Vanyo-Novak, DO
Physician

Dr. Vanyo-Novak graduated from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University and is board certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Vanyo-Novak takes a whole-person approach to care. She strives to empower her patients with information to make the best decisions for their health. She sees patients of all ages and really loves treating multiple generations in a single family with an emphasis on preventative care and early detection.

Fun Facts: Dr. Vanyo-Novak loves building Legos, reading, spending time with her husband, two daughters, and rescue dog. She would love to try improv one day.

Rachel Curry, DNP, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner

Rachel graduated from the Duke University with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, certified in Family Medicine. She also has a Master of Business Administration and is certified in Perinatal Mental Health. She joins Prosano with the keen ability to meet patients where they are in their life journey and help them reach their personal health goals.

Rachel looks at patient care as a partnership and makes it her mission to provide personalized care that takes into account stress management, lifestyle management, mental health, and family planning.

Fun Facts: Rachel loves spending free time with her husband and young son. She also has a twin sister and an older brother – all of whom share the same birthday!

Loren Lawrence, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner

Loren graduated from Grand Canyon University with her Masters of Nursing, certified as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner. She worked as a postpartum and NICU nurse prior to graduate school.

She is dedicated to personalized care, empowering patients, and celebrating their accomplishments to build confidence and growth. Loren’s primary experience includes internal medicine with an emphasis on women’s health and weight loss.

Fun Facts: Loren loves to garden, bake, tend to her bunnies and chickens, and cheer on her three children at their sporting events.

Huei-Ling Tsao, DNP, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner

Huei-Ling graduated from Montana State University with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, certified in Family Medicine.  She grew up in Taiwan and has many years of experience as a nurse in both Taiwan and the United States.

Huei-Ling believes primary care is the frontier to promote health equity for everyone. She is passionate about personalized care and works with patients to build self-care skills for better health management.

Fun Facts: Huei-Ling loves spending time with her family.  She is also learning Spanish, pickleball and tap dancing in her spare time.

Angela Isaac, LAC, ATR
Behavioral Health Manager

Angela graduated from Prescott College with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Art Therapy. As a registered art therapist, Angela loves using art projects to help patients find their voice, open up, and begin healing. Always striving to learn more, Angela aspires to earn a PhD in Expressive Arts Therapy to continue helping people express themselves more freely and improve their mental state.

She is committed to helping patients empower themselves and has a passion for helping trauma survivors heal. Some of her previous experience includes working with at-risk youth and advocating for victims of violence during forensic evidence collection.

Fun Fact: Angela’s hobbies include knitting, crocheting, reading, printmaking, and learning Czech and hopes to travel to Prague one day.

Katelyn Geyer, DO
Physician

Dr. Geyer graduated from the Midwestern University and is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Geyer takes a “whole person” approach to treatment. One of her favorite aspects of being a physician is being able to celebrate wins with her patients.

She chose Prosano because she believes in the importance of quality time spent with patients and the ability to personalize care. She strives to help patients reach their health goals, working with them to ensure their needs are being met while encouraging them to live a healthier lifestyle.

Fun Fact: Dr. Geyer’s hobbies include scuba diving, traveling to new places.

Amy Homan, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner

Amy graduated from the University of St. Francis with her Masters of Nursing, certified as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner. For Amy, being a nurse is a calling and she has always wanted to take care of people.

Amy believes that a good attitude and sense of community helps patients feel safe and cared for. She believes that we should treat everybody the way we want to be treated, and that everyone deserves to be listened to with respect.

Fun Facts: Amy is a very creative painter and photographer. And she loves listening to Frank Sinatra with her husband and four kids.

Debra Iglesias, DNP, FNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner

Debra graduated from Wilkes University with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, certified in Family Medicine. Her vast career includes work as an Emergency Department nurse, as well as a flight nurse. She even worked as a nurse educator prior to becoming a nurse practitioner.

Debra loves what she does and sees her profession as more of a calling, rather than a career. She makes it her mission to help patients live their best lives with preventive medicine.

Fun Facts: When she’s not helping patients, Debra loves spending time with family – especially her grandkids. She loves to hike, paddle board and enjoy Arizona’s beautiful sunsets.

Kristy Geiszler, LCSW
Behavioral Health Manager

Kristy graduated from the Arizona State University with her Masters in Social Work. Her experience includes over 10 years of working in various hospitals around Arizona with clients who have chronic illnesses and life-threatening illnesses, as well as providing support to families that have lost a loved one. She loves connecting with clients and helping them live their lives to the best of their abilities. Kristy has lived in Arizona for 11 years with her husband and two children.

Fun Fact: When she is not working, Kristy coaches her children’s sports teams and is active with her local church. She has gone skydiving three times and can't wait to do it again.

Lauren Hughes, MD
Physician

Dr. Hughes graduated from the University of Illinois and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She is driven to get to know her patients so she can help with their challenges in and out of the exam room. Dr. Hughes is passionate about providing comprehensive care and educating patients on preventive health, chronic diseases, and healthy lifestyles.

She enjoys working with diverse groups of patients and crafting personalized treatment plans to achieve her patient's health goals. In addition to general internal medicine, Lauren's interests include lifestyle modification, weight management, mental health, women's health, LGBTQ health, HIV medicine, and gender-affirming care.

Fun Fact: Dr. Hughes speaks Spanish at home with her husband and two children and she loves all things dance fitness.

Sadie Muller, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Sadie graduated from the Northern Arizona University with her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. She’s both a Sun Devil and a Lumberjack, having received her undergraduate from ASU.  

Sadie is passionate about preventative care, and early cancer detection. She believes completing an annual wellness visit is extremely important for all ages. She enjoys partnering with her patients through lifestyle changes to help treat and prevent disease.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Sadie loves playing pickle ball, spending time with family, and traveling. She also loves working out at Orange Theory Fitness.

Behavioral Health Manager

Maddie graduated from the University of Denver with her Masters in Social Work. Originally from Arizona, she has a diverse background in education, rehabilitation, Deaf Studies, victims’ advocacy, and counseling.

Maddie takes an attentive approach to healthcare, wanting her patients to feel heard and not dismissed. She leads with a strength-based perspective and aims to meet others exactly where they are in life.

Fun Facts: When Maddie isn’t in the office, she loves hiking with her dog, getting coffee, and hitting up local comedy clubs to catch a few laughs.
